Class Descriptions
Styles of Yoga
Our teachers are trained in Iyengar-style Yoga or Hatha Yoga. Iyengar Yoga is based on the teachings of Sri B.K.S. Iyengar and emphasizes precision, alignment and the use of props within individual poses. Hatha Yoga emphasizes breathing, physical awareness, sequencing of poses and relaxation.
Classes for Adaptive Students
- Introduction to Adaptive Yoga – Six-week course introduces those living with a disability to the benefits of yoga by introducing mind-body concepts and practical exercises to deepen the connection between mind and body.
- Ongoing Adaptive Classes – For anyone living with impaired mobility due to disability.
