Yoga Instructor
Julie came
to yoga from a fine arts background and a love of the human figure.
With a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts and having worked as an art
consultant for 10 years, she began to desire more than simply painting
the human body; she wanted to artistically explore it through the flow
of motion. Julie began practicing and studying yoga in 1991 and began
teaching in 2002 after receiving her certification in Hatha yoga. Julie
likens the process of yoga to the process of gardening — another
passion of hers — one where the beauty develops slowly and often with
unexpected results. Julie is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga
Alliance, is involved with Mind Body Solutions’ adaptive yoga training
program and offers classes at the Mind Body Solutions studio for
traditional students. Her JOY is infectious and it spreads to
all of her students when she teaches. She also loves ski racing,
travel, food and everything Italian. Julie lives in Deephaven with her
husband, Chuck. They have three children and an Italian greyhound.
